Details have been released from Buckingham Palace about the focus of each of the three days of the Coronation Weekend 6 - 8 May. All the information is on these two websites:

First analysis is that on Saturday we will all be watching television or being there, to see it live on the streets of London. Sunday is the day for local celebrations, with Big Lunch and street parties, before the concert from Windsor that evening. Monday is called 'The Big Help Out' and focuses attention on volunteering.
Our challenge now is how to deliver local initiatives on very tight budgets, but what is new about that? Badging of existing or planned activity must be one way of doing that, particularly around volunteering - for instance annual civic awards could become Coronation Awards for 2023.
The best way to inspire and pool great ideas is to talk to colleagues who face the same challenges. No surprise then that we suggest you come to Birmingham on 8 and 9 March, where dozens of us can do just that!
