Out-going Mayor's dinner

Hi All,
I'd value input as to whether you have a Mayor's out-going dinner currently.
I'm reviewing the need for it so would value feedback please.
Many thanks
Penny

Hello Penny
The Lord Mayor of Canterbury is hosting her out-going dinner this coming Friday which is organised by the Civic office. There is no Civic budget, all spend comes from ticket sales and sometimes sponsorship. The event is now classed as a Canterbury City Council event which is hosted in name only by the Lord Mayor, but any proceeds left over from the evening and from the raffle and/or auction go the Lady Mayoress' Charity.
I hope that this helps.

Hi Penny.
We don’t have an outgoing Mayor’s dinner as such; we have an incoming Mayor’s dinner after Annual Council. At this dinner the outgoing Mayor and Mayoress/Consort are recognised by being at the top table with the incoming Mayor Mayoress/Consort and the new Deputies and from there they are presented with Past Mayor and Past Mayoress/Consort badges.
Kind regards
Mike Hollingworth

Hello Penny
When I was Civic Officer in Kings Lynn we never had an outgoing Mayor's dinner. We just had a reception for guests attending the Mayormaking Ceremony.

North Kesteven District Council hosts a Civic Reception held in March which reflects on the Chairman's Civic Year in Office and is a networking opportunity for community groups, and businesses etc to meet the Chairman and the Corporate Management Team. The Chairman will also share with invited guests more information about their chosen charity.
