Could I please ask if anyone is holding Civic Receptions now and if so are you still putting Covid restrictions in place, i.e face masks and distancing and limiting numbers?

We have no plans to hold a Civic Reception this year. We will be looking at other ways of having a 'Chairman's Community Welcome' related to our district; communities; volunteers; and perhaps showcase one of our heritage sites. If anyone has any ideas if they are moving away from a 'Chain Gang' event which they are willing to share I would be delighted to hear.
On that note we have not arranged a Civic Service as yet for the Chairman, however again we are looking at making our church service for local people rather than invite the Chain Gang from other districts. If anyone has any thoughts on this, again your ideas would be welcome.

We are planning a Civic Service but not till next year. Hopefully by then things would have returned to "normal"
We are hoping our first event will be the 999 Emergency Day on the 9 September (although a lot of our Emergency Services are asking to postpone this event a couple of months) and we will be recommending guests wear face coverings and changing the way we serve food and drink. All our staff will wear face coverings and when serving food and drink will be wearing gloves. We are limiting numbers as well - currently 50% of our usual capacity. We have had long discussions with our Environmental Health Department who are conducting a Risk Assessment which will cover all the above, which will be approved our Senior Management Board.
