Risk Assessment for Mayor

Risk Assessment for Mayor Link to this post

Hi,

Has anyone pulled together a risk assessment for their civic head which they have then run through with them?

Looking forward, our Mayor has been invited to a few engagements however we are conscious to ensure they are following current guidance and believe it may help if they also have this in some form of writing.

We have so far put a supplement on the website so event organisers are aware the Mayor shouldn't be expected to shake hands and will keep 2m distance etc.

Does anyone also have a risk assessment form they send out to event organisers when they receive the invitation and the Mayor accepts? We have an engagements protocol but I am looking to update this a little to incorporate current guidance going forward.

Thanks in advance

Hi Paige

We haven't set up a RA form as such.

This is wording we have used to send out as an email. I hope this helps. We are not accepting engagements until this has been completed.

Firstly, thank you for your email inviting the Lord Mayor to attend your event. I would like to notify you of an additional step the Lord Mayor’s Office has put in place to reflect the COVID-19 secure ways of working. Before we can consider your kind invitation we will require you to provide us with a copy of your risk assessment which reflects the current Government guidance on holding a COVID-19 secure event. Once submitted this will then be assessed by our team and we will contact you again soon afterwards.

I should be most grateful if you could submit your risk assessment as soon as possible.

If you have not yet produced your risk assessment, may we assist by signposting you to https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/l/covid19-event-safety/#assess-risks and https://www.gov.uk/guidance/working-safely-during-coronavirus-covid-19 which has some useful guidance on holdings COVID-19 secure events.

Regards
Elizabeth
