Our Mayor and Deputy were elected in a virtual council meeting. We are not yet able to arrange a Mayor Making ceremony where the new incumbents would publicly read out and sign the oath of office.
Should I have them signed privately to have on file, with perhaps a witness?

We did a virtual Mayor Making with the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Chief Executive and one Democratic Services Officer videoing it and the link was then sent out for anyone to view - http://civico.net/slough/streams/10197. This was done in the Council Chamber with the Council Crest and Mayor's robes in the background. A written procedure was produced on all aspects from bringing your own pen to which entrances would be used. Happy to provide a copy if this helps - my email email@example.com
