Recognition of volunteers/communities through Covid19 Link to this post

Hi everyone
I wondered if anyone is arranging an event or arranging to recognise individuals/groups/shops in their local communities who have provided exceptional care and support during lockdown and if you are, would you mind sharing thoughts and ideas. We would like to organise something to recognise people but our options seem limited due to the numbers of people meeting in public being limited,.
Many thanks in advance.
Amy

Hi Amy,

We aren't doing an event as such due to current guidance on hosting indoors etc so for the time-being we are currently working with our Events Team to produce a Mayor & Leader's Recognition Certificate. There will be a number of categories i.e. good neighbour, local hero etc and our residents can put forward their nominations using an on-line form. The Events Team will then meet with myself, the Mayor and Leader to shortlist for certificates to be sent. To be mindful of social distancing, they won't be presenting in person but we will be doing videos to post on social media congratulating the awardees each month.

Hope this helps.

Paige

Hi Amy

We have linked up with our Love West Norfolk scheme. If you have a look at this link, it's pretty self explanatory, but it's basically a certificate and roll of honour, rather than any event, which of course we can't host at the moment.

Hope that helps, but please do come back to me if you want to have a chat.

All the best
Jules

Thanks so much to you both for your replies, it's helpful and reassuring to know what others are doing.
Kind regards
Amy
